Noah, The Daughter of Zelophehad


Noah: (... Noah’ ... motion ...) The second named of the five daughters of Zelophehad, son of Hepher, of the half-tribe of Manasseh (Numbers 26:33). B.C. cir. 1618. As their father had no son, the daughters applied for, and Moses, under divine direction, promised them an inheritance in the Promised Land in their father’s right (Numbers 27:1 sq.).
